Did you know that dolphins can swim as soon as it is born? I didn't know that when I started to read National Geographic Dolphins, I knew it( See Bibliography for more). A dolphin uses echolocation( ek-co-locat-shun) to hunt if he/she is hunting alone. First, a dolphin puts his/her head to the ground. Next, it makes a clicking sound. Then, it takes a bite of a delicious snack! The reason is because of sound vibrations in the water. The sound that the dolphin makes is so strong that it launches forward, just like a boomerang, it turns back. It hits anything that is in the dolphin's path and pushes it back into the mouth of the dolphin!
A dolphin's size is 4-6 meters and it weighs 100-300kgs.
